Tax would continue to be paid by the ultimate investors Company A and Company C in their home jurisdiction, and also by the underlying investment Company B in its home jurisdiction.

This is a simplified example, as withholding taxes, double tax agreements and other matters would also be taken into account. It is also the responsibility of individuals and companies to pay any taxes they may owe in their home country. Jersey has also signed 31 information sharing agreements with other countries, to help prevent multinationals from avoiding paying taxes due there. Read more on Tax Neutrality. Tax neutrality is particularly important to tax-exempt institutional investors but is by no means sufficient to attract investors to Jersey.

Investors are using Jersey for other reasons which help set the jurisdiction apart as a leading international finance centre. Jersey has a good reputation because of this assurance. Its flexible and responsive approach to regulation reduces costs to investors and enables greater innovation, while increasing the ease of doing business. The joint venture deal for the project was signed on July 4, in Jersey and led to the formation of Battersea Project Holding Company Limited as the holding company.

With a sharp eye and ear for service, he helps simplify life for our clients. A graduate of Trinity University, where he studied finance, accounting, and economics, John arrived at Hill Investment Group with four years of experience at one of the largest financial services firms in the country.

He excels at crafting strategic financial plans for both individuals and families, as well as developing and sustaining client relationships. I am up most mornings before the sun and read a hard copy of the newspaper. My wife Molly and I have been married since We first met when we were 15 at St. She stayed on my mind, though, as her twin brother sat behind me for four years at Saint Louis University High School, the all-boys school I attended.

During our sophomore year of college, when we were 1, miles apart I was at Trinity, she was at Mizzou , a spark was lit. We dated long-distance for our final two years of college and have been together ever since. We have two little boys less than a year apart , James and Thomas. At The Muny — St. He eventually worked his way to his current role of President of The Muny. His work ethic, passion, and humility inspire me. During my junior year of high school, I broke my right hand two weeks before I was to compete in the state racquetball tournament.

Being right-handed, this was going to be an issue. For the next two weeks I spent every evening after school teaching myself to play left-handed. I ended up finishing third in my seed at state that year. My experience has taught me that truly listening is the key to service.

Not only listening to hear the explicit question, but also listening to learn more about what prompted the original question. Everyone at Hill has this same approach. We really care, which is what makes genuine listening possible. I am also involved with the Young Friends group at The Muny. I stay busy by staying active, both physically and mentally. I love being outdoors, and try to spend any "free" time I have with my kids.

Molly was a kindergarten teacher after graduating college. One Friday afternoon, I surprised her and her class by having Fredbird — the popular St. Louis Cardinals mascot — drop into her classroom unannounced. Then I strolled in and proposed in front of the class. Sports have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, it was soccer, baseball, and basketball—and later lacrosse and racquetball.

I was part of a state championship for my high school soccer team and then played college soccer at Trinity. To this day, I continue to play multiple sports.

The team approach of athletics is something I feel strongly at Hill as well. It is certainly something that drew me to the firm. Our clients trust that we are working as their advocate. We work hard to first gain that trust—and maintain it. One way we do that is through being reliable. Our clients know that if we tell them we are going to take care of something, then they can take it off of their "to-do" list.

If you continue to do the right things, people will notice and you will ultimately end up more successful than if you tried to take a shortcut or cheat your way to victory.

Being a loving husband and always there for your children is what makes you a real man. Prior to joining Hill, Henry was a partner and Director of Planning at a successful wealth management firm in Houston.

Leveraging his experiences and entrepreneurial spirit, Henry has pioneered and perfected wealth visualization techniques to help wealthy individuals see opportunity and make better financial decisions in context of their current situation.

My wife Laurence and I met in and married nine months later. While it seemed crazy at the time, looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. We have three children- Kathryn, Julia, and Henry, Jr. Swimming the Pensacola Bay in 74 minutes , building a treasure box for my son thanks to Handy Dad: The ideal day would include time alone pruning trees along the creek line, fun and games with the kids in the tree house, while the dog races around.

The wealth visualization work that I do helps me to see new things assets, planning techniques, family dynamics , which makes me a better advisor. I grew up on a grain farm outside of Memphis, Tennessee.

The farm has been in my family since In Katie's role as Executive Assistant, she supports client services and firm operations. You're sure to speak with her when scheduling meetings and interacting with our client service team. She works to leverage our time—ensuring that we're as responsive and attentive as ever. In her free time, she is involved with several local nonprofits including Gateway to Hope, The St. Louis Fashion Fund, and the Crisis Nursery. In January we welcomed our first child together, Sally.

She is the center of our whole world: In our free time, we love to travel, spend time as a family and work around the house. We are also incredibly close with our extended family. My mom and dad are two of my best friends, and phenomenal grandparents to baby Sally. My brothers Tim and Colin have officially claimed Doug as their mentor and hunting buddy while being fabulous uncles to Sally.

Being involved with nonprofits is one of my favorite things. I have been very blessed and want to give back as much as I can.

I serve on the board of Gateway to Hope: A Breast Cancer Lifeline and am very involved with their fundraising events. I also serve on the board of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund.

When I have free time I fundraise or volunteer at the St. While it's hard to pick, Italy is my favorite place to visit, more specifically, Rome — the eternal city! Each trip has been incredibly special. In , I went on a spur-of-the-moment trip with a friend for the Conclave and witnessed Pope Francis' election and installation mass, but, the most memorable trip I've ever been on was in October when my husband, Doug, and I were married in Saint Peter's Basilica.

We will never forget that trip — and were lucky enough to go back a few months later for an audience with Pope Francis. I want to make them feel like they are calling a close friend, and let them know they are my top priority at that moment.

This answer is always changing, but, right now: Hands down, the people on our team! Also, the attention to detail in all aspects of our company. I never thought I would find an investment firm so thoughtful about the design and quality of all our materials.

Ten years ago, the hair salon I was going to participated in a program called "Pink Hair for Hope. About six years ago I decided that I wanted the pink to stay in year round, so my stylist agreed to continue making a donation and started dyeing a section permanently with hot pink!

It doesn't hurt that pink is also my favorite color. Nell runs the business. She leads operational activities for Hill Investment Group, focusing on planning, human capital management, compliance, and investment policy.

I have found my tribe: Check out this blog post from Katie Ackerman about the radical podcast that connected me to Hill Investment Group. My husband Walter and I created our new family at our wedding on November 25, with all of our friends and family including HIG!

My parents ostensibly live in Houston, but actually live on I—10 between Houston and our family ranch near Millet, TX. Our family hobby is travel. Whether my parents and I are going to visit my sister in Portland, or using a couple days off as an excuse to go to Istanbul, we are all over the map. One of our favorite trips was a hiking trip to Iceland in With the volcanoes, steam vents, and copious waterfalls, Iceland was like visiting a different planet. It was so special for all of us to explore that strange country together.

Personal finance has been a hobby read: My journal is a daily touchstone I use to tame my mind and organize my thoughts. I recently took a 5—day silent retreat to Marfa, TX to journal and reflect. As all sane people would do, I drove nearly to Mexico to achieve the desired atmosphere for efficacious reflection in silence note: Marfa is known for its art and other sundry oddities.

One of the most famous is Prada Marfa, a permanent art installation in truly the middle of nowhere. I took a photo of my reflection, and the reflection of the desert, in the window of Prada Marfa to commemorate my time there. Each one is unique, but each of them is also authentic, honest, and fiercely loving. They are the compasses that help me find my true North. In no particular order: Melted ice cream Dinner:
